Chattanooga law firm Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott & Cannon, PLLC recently announced that Jacob L. Perry has joined the firm. He will practice primarily in the area of civil litigation. Perry previously clerked for the Honorable Jeffrey M. Atherton and the Honorable Pamela A. Fleenor for the Eleventh Judicial District Chancery Court in Hamilton County. Perry is a native of McMinnville, Tennessee, and received his undergraduate degree, magna cum laude , from Tennessee Technological University and his law degree, magna cum laude , from the University of Tennessee.

At Legal Aid of East Tennessee’s 60th Anniversary celebration on October 23, Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott & Cannon, PLLC was honored as the organization’s Pro Bono Firm of the Year. At the 144th Annual Tennessee Bar Association Convention, David McDowell was elected to serve as the Vice President of the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Fellows, and began another term of service as the East Tennessee Governor on the Tennessee Bar Association Board of Governors.
