William T. Hitchcock, an associate of the firm, practices primarily in the areas of commercial leases, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, business organization, and estate planning and administration.


Will graduated with his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He received two Academic Excellence Awards by earning the highest grade in his Legal Process and Contract Drafting classes. During law school, he was a member of the Tennessee Journal of Race, Gender, and Social Justice, and served as a student attorney in the University of Tennessee Wills Clinic, where he drafted and executed a variety of estate planning documents including wills, powers of attorney, and advanced directives. Will worked as a Research Assistant under Professor Alex Long, focusing on tort law and professional responsibility, and for the UT Institute of Agriculture, focusing on agritourism law. Will gained invaluable experience through his summer clerkship with Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott, & Cannon, PLLC.


Prior to law school, Will received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Peace Studies with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Chapman University in Orange, California. During his time at Chapman, Will interned with Orange County Human Relations where he performed small claims mediations, both as lead and assistant mediator. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Will spent six months working as a seasonal farmer in New Zealand.


Will resides in Chattanooga with his girlfriend, Katy, and their cat, Peaches. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, bicycling, and supporting his favorite soccer team, Liverpool FC.
