Justin B. Faith, a member of the firm, practices primarily in the area of civil business litigation and estate/probate litigation. Justin handles all aspects of litigation, from pre-trial litigation matters to trial to appeal, and routinely advises business clients and individuals on day to day matters and on complex legal issues. Justin also has experience negotiating and advising small businesses on buy-sell and partnership agreements.


Justin has a proven track record of successfully handling all types of cases including commercial litigation and business disputes, construction matters, employment and municipality law, insurance claims, real property matters, trust and estate administration and litigation, conservatorship proceedings, and others in state and federal court. Justin is actively involved in the Chattanooga Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, and American Bar Association and in related community service and pro bono events. He has served on the TBA YLD Board for the past 10 years in various capacities including serving on the Executive Committee as the Treasurer for several years and helping start YLD’s social media presence as a former Publications Chair. Justin is the ABA State Membership Chair for Tennessee and he serves as a representative in the TBA House of Delegates. Prior to joining the firm, Justin served as the Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable W. Frank Brown III (retired) and the Honorable Jeffrey M. Atherton of the Hamilton County Chancery Court.


Justin received his law degree, magna cum laude, with High Honors, from the University of Tennessee College of Law, where he gained invaluable civil and criminal litigation experience by serving as a Student-Attorney in the U.T. Advocacy Legal Clinic, serving as a sworn-in Student Attorney at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Tennessee, and serving as a Special Assistant District Attorney General at the Knoxville District Attorney General’s Office. While in law school, Justin worked as a Graduate Research Assistant for then Dean Doug Blaze, served on the Executive Board on the Student Bar Association, and served as a Research Editor on Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law. Justin received Academic Excellence Awards, by earning the highest grade in each respective class, in Legal Process I & II, Pretrial Litigation, and Advocacy Clinic. Justin also was a member of the Business & Tax Law Association, a Student Advisor to first-year law students, a volunteer at Legal Aid’s Saturday Bar program, and a student member of Inns of Court.


Prior to law school, Justin received his Bachelor of Science degree, magna cum laude, with Highest University Honors in Political Science (Law & Public Policy) with a Minor in Economics from the University of Louisville. While studying at Louisville, Justin actively participated in several leadership positions including serving as President of the Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society, Vice President of the Harlan Scholar Pre-Law Program, and Senator in the Student Government Association, among various other roles. Justin, who received a University Trustee’s Provost Hallmark Full-Tuition Scholarship, earned several awards and distinctions including being named the recipient of the 2007 Joseph Mancini Leadership Award, winning the Political Science Department’s Jean & Eleanor O’Sullivan Award, selection as the Inter-Fraternity Council Greek Member of the Year, and being named by his peers as a Homecoming Court Semi-Finalist.


Justin enjoys traveling and is an avid sports fan.  He and his wife, Brittany, reside in Signal Mountain with their two children.
